July 28, 2014 – Tektronix, the global leader in the oscilloscope market, announced that it will be at the 2014 European Fiber Optic Communications Exhibition (ECOC 2014, September 21-25, 2014, Cannes, France) (No. 495, Level 1 A number of optical test and measurement products are on display at the booth. Tektronix exhibits products for a wide range of applications, including 40Gb/s pressure pattern generation for high-speed data communication and telecom testing, multi-channel pattern generation and multi-channel BERT testing, and analysis and testing of coherent lightwave signals for the world's most complex components. Visitors to the Tektronix booth will have the opportunity to experience first-hand experience and receive technical advice designed to help overcome test and measurement challenges. The new AWG70000 Series Arbitrary Waveform Generator, which offers the industry's best combination of high sample rate, long waveform memory and deep dynamic range characteristics, allows visitors to do it themselves.
“Tektronix has introduced a number of exciting new technology measurement solutions to help our customers meet new challenges in high-speed serial, optical, photonic and communication system design,” said Dean Miles, Technical Marketing Manager at Tektronix. We hope to showcase these new solutions at the show. In addition, visitors to the Tektronix booth will also be able to participate in the iPhone 5s sweepstakes."
Tektronix' highlights this year will include:
· The AWG70000 Series Arbitrary Waveform Generator provides on-demand bandwidth by generating wide bandwidth signals at baseband, IF, and RF frequencies (up to 20 GHz) and supports dynamic ranges greater than -80 dBc. With a waveform memory that can store up to 16 G samples, it can generate unique signals long enough to simulate the actual environment or perform complex optical modulation (such as PAM 4), making it the most flexible broadband signal generation on the market today. product.
· The OM4000 Optical Modulation Analyzer Series provides automated test support for 400G multi-carrier coherent optical modulation. This software option helps researchers working on 400G and faster coherent optical systems to significantly reduce test time while providing flexibility in defining the number of carriers, carrier spacing, and modulation format. It also provides edited carrier measurements and multi-carrier display for comprehensive analysis. The new software is available to Tektronix customers as an option for the OM4106D coherent optical signal analyzer and the OM1106 coherent optical signal analyzer software. The OM4106D is tightly integrated with the Tektronix DPO70000DX Series 33 GHz oscilloscope and uses coherent detection to acquire fiber signals up to 240 Gb/sec per wavelength carrier.
· New series of high speed pattern generators and error detectors support optical and serial data communication testing. The new 40Gb/s PPG4001 pattern generator and PED4000 series error detectors provide extremely high signal quality and jitter pressure, making them ideal for SERDES, component and optical module testing. The PPG3000 series pattern generator and PED3000 error detector support multi-channel pattern generation and error detection. With channel-specific data programming, jitter insertion and BER analysis, it is a critical margin test for standards such as 100G Ethernet. Ideally, this type of test requires up to 4 channels.
· Advanced Light Solutions: At the European Fiber Optic Communications Show, Tektronix will demonstrate its lineup of PHY layer test solutions: eye diagram and jitter performance, pressure receiver testing, crosstalk and BER testing, and optical modulation analysis. Tektronix provides expertise and equipment for standards-compliant TX, RS, and coherent light testing at signal rates ranging from 125 MB/sec to 100 GB/sec or higher.
