Zhejiang Power Grid Discusses Fiber Optic-to-Home Work Commercial Operation Mode
July 24, 2023
The Zhejiang Provincial Electric Power Company held the 2011 Fiber Optic Fiber to Home project discussion and construction program internal audit meeting in Jiaxing Haiyan. The meeting analyzed and discussed the technical principles and commercial operating models for the construction of electric fiber-to-the-household in Zhejiang Province, and reviewed the plan for the construction of electric fiber-to-the-home projects in 2011.
It is understood that the optical fiber-to-the-home project is to add optical fiber to common low-voltage 220 V and 380 V home cables, so that the cable can be transformed into a "high-speed road" for information sharing and solve the "last mile" of the information highway. The problem, while meeting the development needs of the smart grid itself, is to use its surplus resources to serve the nation’s “triple play” construction. In this “high-speed road”, it can deliver electricity, as well as the Internet and telecommunications networks, and broadcasts. Television network. This has extremely important significance in promoting the construction of a resource-saving society.
Zhejiang Haiyan is one of the first batches of FTTH pilot units of the State Grid Corporation of China. The pilot project began in September 2009 and has now completed the 3,970-scale construction task. Under the leadership of the county government, the Bureau reached a cooperation agreement with Mobile and Broadcasting, completed the construction and delivery of 78 smart electricity homes, and explored aspects such as business operations. This year, the State Grid Corporation of China has listed fiber optics for households as an extension project. The pilot units have been expanded from 14 provincial companies to 25 provincial companies, of which Zhejiang Power Co. has undertaken nearly 4,000 construction tasks, which will be in Ningbo, respectively. Shaoxing, Jinhua and other three regions promoted their implementation.
